Welcome to Belfast

So if you read my post from last night, then you know that today I went to Belfast. Since I dont know how to exactly to work this blog correctly, then the pictures I've chosen to show you will just come up as they please.

Well my entire flat decided to take a trip to Belfast today. We left at 8am and made our way across the city to make it to the train station. As we walked thru the city, I saw the Jeanie Johnson that our family got to take pix in front of last year (So i'm including that picture as well, just to show you the front side) We were walking over the bridge when I spotted the replica of the ship that brought the immigrants over during the famine. It was also the first time that I've been in the rain.... Unfortunately I havent gotten the hang of the weather today, always dressing too warm, but today I was dressed for warmer weather, and it was very chilly and rainy :-( ...

Here is a shot of Caroline and Ariel and part of myself in the train station before we left. It was about a 3 hour ride from Dublin to Belfast. I've got a short video of the country side as we travelled up north.
Then you'll see the sign I saw when we got to the arriving train station welcoming us to Belfast.
We walked thru the city and I took a picture of the Parliament building with the UK flag in front of it.
The next picture is a close up of me and Caroline on the top of the shopping centre where you can see the entire city. There is also a shot of Ona, Maria and me. While in the shopping centre I bought a good shopping bag full of 'european' looking clothing. ALL the girls here wear leggings, tights, or skin tight jeans, and short dresses or long shirts. Think the '80s! It's a bit bizarre and I'm not throwing out my entire original wardrobe, but I am trying to throw in a few 'local' looking pieces so that I can blend in a little better :-)
Lastly, Caroline, Ariel and I decided to take a ride on the mini-London like ferris wheel. So you can see a shot of me on the ride and a shot looking down from the top. I also have a quick video of what we can see from the top of the ferris wheel.

So the pictures are going to be jumbled, I'm pretty sure, but I'm sure you can figure out what picture is what from my descriptions.

As for the last few questions, no, I dont have Skype up and running yet. I will be sure to let you know when I have that. My blisters just got bigger today, so that was a bummer, but I managed. I have lots of different shoes, all of them fine, but with the amount of walking that I do, my feet are not too happy with me....

  3. European Kerry looks retarded!! haha

The music was from the guided tour you could listen to as you ride. We didnt actually listen to it, but it was a nice background noise!

  4. Sorry about all of the blisters! I'm sure the feet will become calloused one of these days.

Belfast looks pretty cool. I'm so glad you got to visit there.

Also, I wondered when you would break down and get into some of the '80s European fashion. Can't wait to see some pics of that look:)
